Coco Cakes

Coco and I have made a cake of gigantic proportion. A butter recipe golden gigantic-star-shaped cake with caramel frosting, lots and lots of candles, cinnamon drops, and multi-colored sprinkles. We made it in the kitchen on a Friday night, when the sun was just dipping behind the trees and the wind smelled like autumn, in our warm kitchen, slipping in and out of the musical vibrations in the air, the Ingrid Michaelson vibrations. "I just wanna be OK, be OK, be OK. I just wanna be OK today..." We sang a lot. Coco likes those songs. "You're not really my aunt. You're too young to be my aunt." "I'm eight years older than you!" "But still..." "This is a beautiful cake. I'm not done with it yet. I'm fifty years old. It says it on the cake."
