Summer Plans
I am excited for summer!
Every year, either during May or June, this one day I am reminded that summer is coming. Sometimes you can feel it in the air. Other times you feel it rushing through your veins and arteries. Excitement.
Well, yesterday was that one day. So, I made my yearly summerly list. It usually goes like this:
1. Read good books.
2. Write that novel you were planning on since you were eleven.
3. Do Personal Progress.
4. Learn to cook.
5. Ask Jacob to teach you how to dance.
6. Run every morning, five to six days a week.
7. Clean out the closet.
8. Bike a lot.
9. Spend time with family and friends.
10. Read scriptures. Pray a lot.
11. Practice the violin and piano.
12. Study.
13. Wake up every morning to watch the sun rise. Go to bed early.
14. Write in your journal.
15. Learn to sew.
16. Sing a lot.
Goodness. I love summer. I can't wait for it to come.

I love your list-making and goal-setting and to-dos. I also have always loved the kind of girl you want to be. I think I want to be her, too. In many ways, actually, I think you're already doing a better job at being her than I am. Peace and quiet. Peace and noise. That's very you--it's very beautiful--and it's very you. I want to be that way, too.
