Hole in the Wall
Alright, so it's not a hole in the wall. It's a hole in the ceiling. It's funny what people will do for water damage. Dad knocked out a three-by-three foot section of the ceiling directly over Bek's bed to prevent it falling on top of her as she slept, which would not be a delightful experience. And now you can see the rafters and the quiet dark up in the attic. Bek wants to put a swing there. And it is delightful, like an excess of emotion that no longer bothers, like a piece of dark to contrast the white light when the light is too white. A soft, safe, calm assurance of higher up places.
Let's keep the hole in the ceiling.
